Steve Ackerman, a Managing Director of VerityPoint, a client-centered consulting firm focused on the design and implementation of executive benefit and institutional life insurance programs. Mr. Ackerman has spent more than 23 years as an executive and employee benefits consultant. In this capacity, he has consulted with a wide range of organizations throughout the country on the design of executive and employee benefit programs and the related issues of funding and administration.

Prior to joining VerityPoint, Mr. Ackerman was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Clark Consulting, a national firm in executive compensation consulting and in the design, implementation and administration of executive benefit plans.

Before entering the benefits business, Mr. Ackerman had been a senior corporate executive specializing in finance and administration. Serving in the capacities of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, his responsibilities included all finance and accounting functions, tax and insurance, as well as compensation and benefits.

The combination of his background as a senior corporate executive along with his extensive experience in the benefits field provide him with a uniquely broad perspective with which to consult clients.

Mr. Ackerman received a B.S. in Industrial Administration from Yale University and an MBA (majoring in Finance) from the University of Hawaii. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and attained the rank of Major.

Mr. Ackerman has served with many civic, charitable, and educational organizations over the years.
